What i'm up to:
Finishing up data collection and writing up my undergraduate honors thesis. That's been, and continues to be an all-consuming endeavor for me at the moment. Fortunately (or unfortunately) the thesis deadline is coming up on the 17th. I'm so close to finishing data collection.
Life news:
I got accepted into graduate school at Virginia Tech, so that puts an end to my roller-coaster ride of the fall 2026 graduate school application cycle. Still don't know how to feel about it.
Cool projects I'm working on:
- My Honors thesis project, which is an open-source flash chromatography system
- A detailed optical comparison and analysis between two night vision relay lens systems.
- fleshing out this blog, and my other three blogs
- Fixing up and rehousing my AN/AVS-9 aviation night vision goggles (I use them for stargazing and bike-riding at night)
Stuff i've been reading:
- wikipedia
- other people's bearblogs
- academic papers about chromatography
- the soyjak party wikipedia page (i really should stop)
Stuff i've been watching (mostly YouTube):
- The Wire from S2 Underground
- Weekly hour-long presentations from Perun
- Shed Chemistry videos from Extractions and Ire
